Sesame Seed and Walnut Broccoli
This recipe is full of health-giving ingredients and includes the goodness of broccoli as well as nuts and seeds, which are full of essential fatty acids. Sesame and walnut broccoli makes an ideal side dish to accompany a main meal and goes well with chicken based meals. It can also be served with a rich Italian tomato sauce for added flavor. Sunflower and pumpkin seeds can be added to the recipe if you don’t like sesame seeds.

  1. One packet of fresh broccoli florets
  2. 2 tablespoons of sesame seeds
  3. 10-15 walnuts, halved
  4. A tablespoon of olive oil
  1. Gently cook the broccoli in a saucepan of water for up to five minutes; let the broccoli remain crunchy.
  2. Warm the olive oil in a frying pan on a low heat.
  3. Fry the broccoli until it is covered in oil and gently browned. Add in the seeds and the walnuts and lightly fry them. The nuts and seeds can be left raw if you want to; the hot and cold will make a good contrast.
  4. The meal is then ready to serve as a side dish.
